Tom Moody, former Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), coach and former Australian cricketer Tom Moody, believes Virat Kohli will be the key player in Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) must-win match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Moody says that RCB’s chances of making the IPL 2023 Playoffs are on the line, and Kohli will use all his resources to motivate the team.
RCB has 12 points after 12 games, and is ranked fifth in the table of points. Faf du Plessis’ team must win against SRH in order to boost their chances of qualifying. If they lose, RCB will have no chance of making it to IPL 2023. Moody is putting his faith in Kohli during this intense buildup.
“RCB’s performance has dwindled through the mid-way stage. They started off well, but lost their steam in the second half.” They need to get their act together and play at full speed in the remaining matches. Virat Kohli is a player who will give his all to keep RCB in the playoff race ,”, said Moody.
Will Virat be able take RCB to home?
Virat Kohli is not just Tom Moody’s hope, but the hopes of every RCB supporter. Will he be able take his team home? The RCB stalwart began the season with a bang but has been struggling to score in recent games. Kohli’s struggles with spin are not going unnoticed and SRH is also looking to stop Kohli using spin.
It will be fascinating to see how RCB can overcome the sluggish pitch of Rajiv Gandhi Stadium. Yusuf Pathan, RCB’s coach, has advised the team to stay together and not rely solely on a handful of players.
“RCB must play as a unit. RCB cannot focus its attention on only three players (Kohli Maxwell Faf). Pathan stated that now every player must take responsibility and fulfill his ,” responsibilities.
