Asmongold threatened to switch platforms and leave Twitch. MrBeast, a popular YouTuber who is not from Twitch, jumped at the chance to support streamers. He relayed the message that streamers should stream on Kick so he can criticize Twitch’s policies. Twitch has been rolling back the Branded Content Guidelines ever since.
Twitch reverses its stance on Branded Content
Twitch apologized on their official Twitter for the guidelines gone rogue. Amazon’s streaming platform has admitted to going too far with their policies. The company’s policy was to allow advertising logos on only 3% the screen. Twitch’s CEO Dan Clancy also commented on the matter, saying that the company had “messed up”, with its Branded Content Policy. Dan Clancy apologised for the change. He said, “We will continue operating as we always have.”
Twitch is a target of public opinion for quite some time. Its menacing decision to ban popular streamers from its platform. Twitch has been banning streaming from left to right. Twitch has broken the dam of tolerance with its new guidelines and is now drowning in the wrath and anger of famous streamers and internet celebrities.
